A whimsical, wistful odyssey, Athens artist The Vet’s Fetching’s full-length debut for Super Carnival Recordings Entropy and Expansion is out now. Pulling scenes from the playful, melancholy imagination of a child and giving them life with their subtle arsenal of guitar drones, The Vet’s Fetching paints a rich tapestry of lonely musings, letting their mind and heart wander through a wounded, beautiful universe that always feel at once alien and distantly familiar. Sculpted with dedication and love, Entropy and Expansion is a thoughtful, beautiful addition to the Super Carnival catalogue.

The Vet’s Fetching creates worlds to get lost in. Sometimes those worlds are captured through writing or filmmaking, and sometimes through music. The music is ambient because it reflects our inner worlds, in which quantities are not known but felt, and there is no single valid interpretation of anything. Their music is a canvas, on which to map our living. In lieu of a clear direction or a straight answer, a little arena rock on dead worlds or shoegaze on the moon goes a long way.
